Project 1: Students will learn to use the digital camera and Photoshop software to explore 2-dimensional art opportunities in the taro field. Students will capture nature, human form, and action shots while working in the taro field, and enhance/edit their photos through Photoshop software. Student photos will be hung within the school to create a collage depicting the experience of working in the taro fields.
Project 2: Students will experiment with firing techniques using the ancient Hawaiian imu (underground oven.) Students will design their own bead work to create imu fired jewelry.
